I love these portraits! We had our session in DC by the Howard Theater, and we briefly dipped into Kramer Books in DuPont Circle – one of my favorite DC locations in general, photography aside. (A bar, a bookstore, and a restaurant? It’s basically the best combination since peanut butter and jelly, and not to mention, the cozy interior makes it great for a photo or two.)
Shooting in the city, particularly in the parks or around Dupont can sometimes wind up being a bit of a stressful experience. As anyone who’s ever been in or around a car in the DMV knows – or anyone biking, or trying to cross the street, you know, just standing on the sidewalk – DC is kind of a heavily trafficked area. Just a little. I mean, as a professional, I’ve certainly never gotten irritated being bumped or jostled on the sidewalk or in the metro, sort of like how I’ve never been sarcastic, but I hear it can become quite frustrating.
Anyway, thankfully, Errin and Lee’s obvious love and chemistry made our session fun and natural – it was a pleasure to have such an easy couple to work with. Not to mention fun – just look at the center picture below.
To Erinn & Lee, thank you for participating in the contests, and congratulations on winning and, of course, on your engagement!
