These mother daughter portraits are some of my favorites that I’ve ever taken. Photography in Old Town Alexandria, while beautiful, can sometimes be a bit of effort with the crowds, but this pair made this session ultra enjoyable. From twirling in the grass, to the mother’s effortless style, to her daughter’s smiley personality – not to mention the eye-catching combo of that adorable white dress and the yellow brick wall behind her – there isn’t a thing about these portraits I don’t love. Have I said that already? I can’t help myself. They’re just so… !
This one in particular, for example, I think I’ve put on every social media I have. But can you blame me?!
Just look at this cuteness. The mother daughter bond is practically palpable. <3
Have I mentioned I love these yet?
Above and below – one of the many reasons I love shooting in Old Town. There are so many different settings to capture: quaint, rustic, natural, not to mention the beautifully lit tunnel below.
The white dutch clovers that bloom in the spring really set the scene for these! There’s something so wistful about these, especially so close to the waterfront.
To the stars of this session, thank you for these beautiful mother daughter portraits! I’m sure I haven’t said so yet, but they are some of my favorites, and they’re the perfect way to introduce us back into the spring season. My best to you both!
