This location in Rockville never disappoints, especially in the spring. The stone pathways and lush gardens always give family portraits at Glenview Mansion a touch of elegance – not that this beautiful and stylishly coordinated bunch needed any boosts in that department. It helps that this military family has, in my completely unbiased opinion, one of the best traditions: they have their family portraits taken every time they move. Which explains why they were such naturals. They were relaxed, synchronized, and practically posed themselves. In fact, they were so prepared that this little girl even brought her own camera, which both warmed my heart and made me wonder if I even really needed to be there…
Another thing I love about this family is how all the siblings have different and unique friendships with each other. It’s almost like not all sibling relationships are defined by how often you can annoy your brothers and sisters to tears. As someone who comes from a large family, I assumed that was one of those mysterious universal truths (at least as children), but apparently not. See for yourself!
See?! I really couldn’t have asked for a more cohesive and friendly family to photograph.
Not to mention stylish. This boho chic happiness is so in season I’d like to think the flowers bloomed specifically to match her outfit.
When I went to show this family their photos, I saw so many beautiful portraits hung on their walls from the last move. It’s such a pleasure to help carry on the tradition! To this wonderful family: thank you for giving me the opportunity to capture the start of your newest adventure here in the DMV!
